Problem:
Client requirement for 2 air rewind hose reels for diesel refuelling in mining to handle hose capacities of 50 metres x 1”ID and 30 metres x 1-1/2”ID. Generally, hoses of this length and size when full of the product are difficult to payout. The client required a low pull force for operator safety/handling, heavy-duty construction. Other important factors were environmental conditions (dust & humidity causing corrosion) and a hose reel to fit in limited space available on the vehicle.
Solution:
Reel Tech offered both hose reels from the Pit Bull family with the following unique features:
- Ezi-Deploy a fully automatic clutch system for an effortless drag-free payout of hose to minimize operator strain injuries.
- Heavy-duty steel construction with Galvanised finishes for corrosive environment.
- Full flow swivel and fluid hub to maximize filling rates
- Built and supplied within 2 weeks of order placement
